--Whereas, That at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Choteau, Montana, held on May 20 1918, John W. Hall, Clerk of said town of Choteau, Montana was appointed by the council to take a special census of the inhabitants of the Town of Choteau for the purpose of changing said Town to a City of the third class, and
--“Whereas, at a regular adjourned meeting of the Town Council held on the 10th day of June 1918, said census was presented, taken by John W. Hall, of the inhabitants of the Town of Choteau, Montana, showing a population of 1,150 now;
--“Therefore be it resolved, That the Town of Choteau, Montana, pursuant to the provisions of Section 3448 of the revised codes of 1907, be advanced to a City of the Third Class, and that the Clerk be instructed to file a copy of this Resolution in the Office of the County Clerk and Recorder of Teton County, Montana, and in the Office of the Secretary of State of Montana.
